![]() ![]() That feels more balanced than Dynamaxing. The second half of 2022 is shaping up to be a busy time for the Nintendo Switch, but the system's marquee releases this holiday season are Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the next installments in the beloved monster-catching series. Not only can Terastallization be used against itself, but it can be used to secure an easier kill against a Pokémon so deeply prominent in the meta. Landorus is rumored to return, but its quadruple weakness to Ice means that players can just make their Pokémon an Ice-type and attack with Tera Blast, a move that changes type to match the user’s Tera Type. Of course, some Pokémon will find themselves dominating the meta as they have for years, though many iconic Pokémon aren't in Scarlet & Violet due to Dexit. If this were Steel for its defensive capabilities, Ground for its offensive ones, or Electric for its lack of weaknesses, it’s difficult to say. It’s possible that a specific Tera Type may be more common not too long after the game releases, specifically one of the most loved elemental Pokémon types. ![]()
